Week 7- Challenges to Sustainable Development

Today’s class Prof Dr Suhaimi asked us to watch a recorded lecture and write comments based on that video.After I watched the lecture, I have learned about three important figures of challenges to sustainability development which are economic, social and environmental that give big impact in our lives. These 3 aspects have their own challenges that we should cater to and look into to provide a better future for our next generations. There are 4 general challenges that give inequalities to those less fortunate in terms of educational resources, health facilities, food and clean water.

As human beings, these are the basic things that we need in our everyday lives that give an effect to our growth development but unfortunately some people don't get sufficient need as other people and that is categorised as unsustainable. On top of that, there are key challenges in order to achieve sustainable development which are instability, inability to do the implementation well and not having good governance. As we are talking about sustainable development means it is related with a balance between economy, society and environment.

As a khalifa in this world, it is our responsibility to ensure sustain this nature of our life. For social aspect, it is involved with our social interactions, equal opportunity to participate in social activities, having good living condition , and include the economic efficiency and environmental responsibility. In economy aspect, it's promote to have efficiency and recycling that everything we consume we can use back into our economy that we can turn the waste into something good that actually benefited us back such as we can have an organic fertiliser that we can use for our plant or we can sell them for people..In terms of environmental perspectives, it is about to protect the ecosystem to ensure we can continue to have natural sources and save the flora and fauna from being destroyed.

To promote and protect well being of people and nature. We cannot simply damage our environment for the sake of our economic. To conclude, we need to overcome all these challenges to ensure a sustainable resources for our future generations that requires efforts from all parties to be able to live in peace and bring prosperity in our life.
